If you haven’t already heard, Wrong Button has won a Geekie Award for Geekiest Content and is up for a Best Of trophy in our category! We’re still in a little bit of shock, but we also have to start planning for the big event. Of course, for me, that means planning what I’m going to wear.
The event is a fancy one, like any awards show, so I’ll be dressed to the nines. A dress and heels and everything! But I want to keep my geeky identity, so I’m sending out a plea to all of the amazing geeky accessories creators out there. I would love to show off the shoes, jewelry and bags you’ve created!
Now, you’re probably starting to realize that I’m asking for a favor here, because I am. But I promise that there are benefits to you as creators:
1. I’ll feature any items I pick on the blog in their very own blog post with links to your site/store.
2. Since I’ll be wearing the pieces to the award show, they’ll be seen in interviews, on the live streaming of the event (which could potentially reach millions), by celebrities and other guests, not to mention in my own pictures, Instagrams and Tweets. There’s plenty of opportunity to name drop and tag!
3. I know as independent creators, you might not want to give things away for free. So I’m totally down with any offers of discounts or even just to borrow the items and send them back after the show.
